We’ve got big and exciting news: Carolina Game Tables is now Legacy Game Tables! As we enter this new chapter, we want to share the story behind the name change, introduce the new owners, and reassure that some things won’t change – our passion for building high-quality game tables that bring people together.
From Carolina to Legacy: Why the Name Change?
Over the years, we’ve heard from customers who thought “Carolina Game Tables” meant we only served the Southeast. But our community always extended far beyond state lines. Whether your game night happens in California, Texas, New York or anywhere in between, we’re here to make your experience unforgettable.
Legacy Game Tables better reflects the nationwide community we serve as well as the lasting quality and memories built into every table we craft.
Meet the New Owners—Same Team, Stronger Future
This isn’t just a rebrand – it’s a natural evolution. Sarah Shearman and James Russ have been a part of the CGT family for years and are now stepping into ownership.
“We’ve worked with Sarah and James for the past seven years and know CGT customers are in excellent hands,” says co-founder Jodi Black.
“This transition gives me time to focus on my health and my service on the GAMA Board of Directors, and it feels right to make the announcement at this year’s Gen Con – ten years after Clint and I first launched Carolina Game Tables at Gen Con.”
Both Jodi and Clint Black will remain close to the tabletop community through their work with Pinnacle Entertainment Group, publishers of Savage Worlds, Deadlands, and Doom Guard.
Same Tables, Same Quality, New Brass Plate
You’ll be happy to hear that nothing about our game tables is changing – except for the brass nameplate. The factory, materials, and methods remain exactly the same, as do the people crafting your table. The only difference? A new logo that reflects our legacy of excellence and a renewed vision for the future.
(And yes – because of this update, all in-stock tables with the original Carolina Game Tables plate are currently on sale!)
What Legacy Means to Us – and to You
For us, "Legacy" is more than just a name. It’s a commitment not only to our customers, but also our gaming community. A commitment to uphold the craftsmanship, customer service, and sense of connection that defined Carolina Game Tables for the past ten years. We’re here to build furniture that lasts, to support your family game nights, and to be part of your story for years to come. To leave a Legacy.
We’re excited to bring fresh ideas, new offerings, and an even deeper focus on serving the incredible community of gamers, families, and creatives who gather around our tables.
